Happy Hooves Equine Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit that relies solely on donations and the volunteers that help. Happy Hooves strives to create a shelter for equines. It is a rescue that provides care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses.

 

Continuing care through veterinary services, equine dentistry, and our farrier is provided to all of our rescue horses while they are with us. Happy Hooves has accepted horses with both physical and emotional issues as well as horses who were no longer able to perform up to the standards that their former owners desired.

 

We have assisted many horses and ponies in finding homes with people who love them, are willing to do what is necessary to provide appropriate care for their well-being, and give them a second chance at being useful riding horses or pasture companions.

 

We have also incorporated many rescued horses into our educational programs at Happy Hooves Equine Rescue. These horses have become kind and patient teachers to our students. Adults and children get a sense of confidence interacting with our teachers. We cannot underestimate the importance of making a horse feel that they have a purpose in life. Teaching is a perfect purpose.
